A collection of women's stories unearthed from the land that sources and nourishes life.
Our podcast centers land as the forgotten context connecting two realities, women and food. Until very recently, women were deeply connected to land by societal role, by biological imperative, and some have argued, by spiritual contract. Disconnected from land now, we have all but severed our consciousness about food availability, choices, and the very real sourcing of our lives.
Through intimate stories of women deeply engaged in this forgotten, universal, context of land, we move easily from the esoteric, to the pragmatic. We get personal, relatable, messy, sometimes confusing or shocking, fascinating, fun, and most of all, real. We run toward idealism, and run headlong into reality.
Listening to each guest’s vivid, poignant stories, we weave back together women’s ancient connection to land, to help us heal our bodies, our communities, and our Earth.
